‘Indian Franchise Association brings “FRANCHISE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM” at MICA, Ahmedabad’

Ahmedabad, February 11, 2010: The Learning Centre of Indian Franchise Association had recently conducted an interactive Franchise Management Program at the Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), Ahmedabad where the introduction of franchise studies in India was shared with the students focusing on instructional module on franchising. The Learning Center of Indian Franchise Association with its cutting-edge domestic and international education and leadership training programs on Franchising will be running similar programmes across all B schools pan India. It will be the premier source of innovative, performance-based, interactive franchise educational programs and training.
IFA, the premier body for franchise industry through its learning centre aims at strengthening the roots of franchising in India and has initiated to start Franchising as a module in the formal education programs imparted by various educational and business management institutes. As an initiative, IFA has associated with premier institutes to conduct Franchise Management Programs to introduce the students to the intricacies of franchising and establish the strategic approach by posing various case studies for better understanding. This introduction is essential for the youth, for them to understand fresh business models and patterns adopted in the practical marketplace to excel in future. IFA has aggressive plans to promote franchise education by establishing franchise training centers in various parts of the country to educate professionals on the modalities of franchising and also to conduct session on Franchise Management Program at various renowned institutes like MICA.
Commenting on the Franchise Management Program, Mr. Gaurav Marya, Chairman, IFA, said, “This venture is a first of its kind in India where the students get to know about franchising from a practical point of view. They got to know about huge amount of business that is going on under this system and its future potential. The fact that this session also enlightened the students about their career prospects in this field means that the franchising industry would not be short of budding entrepreneurs in the time to come. I’m pleased to have taken this initiative in conjunction with MICA and will be announcing similar ventures with other renowned institutes shortly”.
